Welcome!
If you're like most recorder players, you would prefer playing with an ensemble rather than sitting alone practicing scales, arpeggios and the tenor part to a galliard by Susato. What you need however is great music and lots of it - editions which are easy to read and use, don't break your budget and with separate parts for everyone that won't keep you fumbling in the middle of a piece for that awkward page turn.
That's where Polyphonic Publications enters the picture. We want to provide you with music that you know and love at a price which you can easily afford.
Please browse through our music selections, using the Catalog link here or above, and choose by ensemble size, composer or search by piece-name and you'll find those special compositions that speak to you. They spoke to us and that's why they're here.
You will be able view every piece before you order. Many also have sound samples which I have multi-tracked on recorders. [And soon you will also have the option of purchasing full MP3 versions at a very reasonable price!]
Select the pieces you like, add them to the cart and, when you check out, pay either by PayPal or check. If you live outside the U.S. you may wish to click below for the site of one of our distributors in other parts of the world.
Who is "us?" Basically it's me sitting at the computer in Colebrook, CT, editing a score, maybe waiting for the printer, or collating parts on the floor in the den. Sometimes it's my wife Julia lending her talents with letters and proofreading. It may also be one of our five cats assisting me by sitting on the music while I work. As you can see, it's a group effort - a lot like what happens when your ensemble works together to bring your music to life.
We believe you will be pleased with Polyphonic Publications. When that happens we'll know that we've all played our parts well.
